This is one of my favorite type of shows, where the starting point of balloon art leads to bigger things. Chuck Young is an author whose first children’s book deals with grief and loss, using the imagery and concepts of balloon people. It is unlike any other print-based art you’ve seen relating to balloons. I highly recommend you get this book, available directly from the publisher Penny Candy Books, or of course Amazon.
In the monologue I mention #greendogsfordebs for anyone not in the know.
The author I mentioned was Loren Eiseley. Google his name to start exploring his writings on what I describe as the mysticism in evolutionary biology.
And send the Jam Room any stories you have of any chaos around these Chrome balloons. Seriously, I can’t wait to handle these.
